GWO Enhanced First Aid (EFA) Training
This GWO module enables participants working in a remote wind turbine environment to administer safe, effective, and immediate lifesaving measures using advanced emergency equipment and medical teleconsultation. GWO certified through ENSA.
CONTENT:
• Risks/hazards/legislation
• Anatomy, injury, & illnesses
• Management of an incident & national emergency response
• Medical teleconsultation
• Enhanced first aid using primary & secondary survey
• Pain management & further possible medication
• Advanced first aid techniques
DURATION:
Initial: Twenty-one (21) Hours | 3 Days
Refresher (with valid FA, or FA-R, or EFA, or EFA-R): Fourteen (14) Hours | 2 Days
LOCATION:
Survival Systems USA's Groton Training Center, CT
AGE REQUIREMENTS:
Participants must be a minimum of 18 years of age for full participation and certification. Participants under the age of 18 require parental consent.
PREREQUISITES:
Participants engage in rigorous activity and should be in a good state of health, physically capable of fully taking part in all course exercises.
Participants need work boots and a photo ID. We provide all other equipment.
SCHEDULING:
Book training calendar seats on a first-come, first-served basis.
CERTIFICATION:
All participants who complete the EFA program in accordance with the learning and performance objectives receive completion certificate(s) and GWO (WINDA) credit(s) (24-mo expiry).
ADDITIONAL CONSIDERATIONS:
The EFA module teaches advanced lifesaving measures exceeding those of GWO FA 2002 First Aid.
