This GWO module enables participants working in a remote wind turbine environment to administer safe, effective, and immediate lifesaving measures using advanced emergency equipment and medical teleconsultation. GWO certified through ENSA.
CONTENT:
Risks, hazards, and applicable legislation
Anatomy, injury, and illnesses
Management of an incident and national emergency response
Medical teleconsultation
Enhanced first aid using primary and secondary survey
Pain management and further possible medication
Advanced first aid techniques
DURATION:
Initial: Twenty-one (21) Hours | 3 Days
Refresher: Fourteen (14) Hours | 2 Days
PREREQUISITES:
Participants engage in rigorous activity and should be in a good state of health, and physically capable of fully taking part in all course exercises.
Valid GWO EFA or EFA-R certificates are prerequisites for participation in the EFA Refresher.
CERTIFICATION:
All participants who complete the EFA program in accordance with the learning and performance objectives receive completion certificates and GWO (WINDA) credit (24-mo expiry).
Students need work boots and a photo ID. We provide all other equipment.
LOCATION:
Survival Systems USA’s Groton Training Center, CT
AGE REQUIREMENTS:
Participants must be a minimum of 18 years of age for full participation and certification. Participants under 18 require parental consent.
SCHEDULING:
Book training calendar seats on a first-come, first-served basis.

The EFA module teaches advanced lifesaving measures exceeding those of GWO FA 2002 First Aid.
