AIM

This program is designed to provide anyone with the knowledge and skills to care for themselves and others in land survival situations.

CONTENT

Survival psychology
Survival patterns, hypothermia and hyperthermia mitigation
Equipment and clothing requirements
First Aid/medical scenarios
Location/construction of shelters
Rescue signaling
Fire construction techniques
Food and water procurement

DURATION

8 Hours

PREREQUISITES

* A statement of health form (completed on first day of course)

* Trainees are expected to be in a good state of health and physically capable of taking part in all course activities. Those trainees in noncompliance will be refused and billed for the full course.

CERTIFICATION

All persons who successfully complete the program based on performance standards will receive a Survival Systems certificate of completion and student ID card.
