SS-C-002 Emergency Breathing Systems Course (EBS)
AIM
This program is designed to provide all personnel working or traveling on or over water, with the knowledge and skills necessary to utilize and deploy emergency breathing devices (EBD) and react appropriately to on-board and aircraft ditching emergencies.
CONTENT

Preparation for emergency landing and ditching situations with and without an EBD utilizing the Shallow Water Egress Trainer (SWET)

Evacuation and escape training utilizing the Modular Egress Training Simulator (METS™) with and without utilizing the EBD
-
Dry/wet evacuation through an emergency exit from a ditched aircraft on water
DURATION
8 Hours
PREREQUISITES
* Successful completion of the Aircraft Ditching Course (ADC)
* A statement of health form (completed on first day of course)
* Trainees are expected to be in a good state of health and physically capable of taking part in all course activities. Those trainees in noncompliance will be refused and billed for the full course.
CERTIFICATION
All persons who successfully complete the program based on performance standards will receive a Survival Systems certificate of completion and student ID card.
